Oliver Castro
Mexican director Oliver Castro began studying graphic design and later cinematography at the Lorenzo de Medici School in Florence, Italy. Upon his return to Mexico, Oliver began working at "Z Film" headed by Alejandro González Iñárritu, who would become his mentor.
In 1997 he began directing second units, television commercials and video clips. In 2002 he opened his own film and advertising production company, Distrito Films, which won the Bronze Lion in Cannes in 2012 for its Crafter campaign for Volkswagen. In recent years he has been immersed in the development and production of feature films, short films, documentaries and television series.
Oliver finds inspiration in his personal life, with his children; in his relationship with nature, art, and Music which is very important to him.
